Entries for tonight’s seventh round of the Supercars eSeries have been confirmed, with Will Davison announcing he will continue in the series despite losing his full-time Supercars drive due to the withdrawal of 23Red Racing from the series.

Davison will race a Mustang backed by personal sponsor Doric, along with secondary support from Cowdroy, WD40 and the Public Brewery Group.

“Obviously it’s unfortunate circumstances, but I still want to be involved in the Eseries while working on my future plans in the real world,” said Davison.

“The support of Doric makes this possible, they’ve been great friends over a long time, so to be able to continue in the Eseries with their support is exciting!

“Last week at Circuit of the Americas I unlocked a few things in iRacing, so hopefully that can carry over tonight and we can nail down some more solid results, and move up in the championship standings.”

The grid will also be augmented by two wildcard entries; McLaren Formula 1 pilot Lando Norris returns for his third appearance in the series, while Dunlop Super2 racer Matt Chahda will make his Supercars eSeries debut aboard a Cavalier Homes Mustang.

Race formats have also been confirmed for the evening. The first race will be held at the Charlotte Oval, while the second and third races will take place at the Daytona Road Course. A pair of qualifying sessions – at Charlotte and Daytona – will set the grid positions for Races 1 and 2, while accumulated points from the two races will set the grid for Race 3, which will be a longer feature race.

The damage setting will be turned off for the Charlotte qualifying session and race, and for the first time in the Supercars eSeries, there will be no reverse-grid race this round.

Qualifying will commence at 6:00pm (watch on Fox Sports and Kayo) while racing will start at 7pm and will be broadcast via the drivers’ social media channels.
