The BP Supercars All Stars eSeries will present its largest field so far when it heads to Belgium’s iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit for Round 5 tomorrow, with a total of 30 drivers to line up for the evening’s three races.
In addition to the 25 regular drivers, the field will be bolstered by a total of five wildcard entries.
As announced last week, Jack Doohan will drive the Red Bull Holden ZB Commodore campaigned by Max Verstappen in Round 2 of the series. Additionally, McLaren Formula 1 driver Lando Norris – an experienced sim racer – will join the Walkinshaw Andretti United squad in a third car, while James Courtney will make his first start in the series.
The other two wildcard entries belong to Super2 drivers Jayden Ojeda (Matthew White Racing) and Broc Feeney (who becomes part of an expanded, five-car Tickford Racing operation).
“I’m stoked to race in the BP Supercars Eseries,” Ojeda said.
“I’m excited to see how we go against the Supercars guys, as well as Formula 1 driver Lando Norris.
“I’ve been enjoying watching the Eseries racing a lot, it’s something I’m really keen to have a crack at and I am so grateful Supercars has given some of the Super2 racers a go.”
“I’m really looking forward to jumping in for Round 5 of the BP Supercars All-Star eSeries this Wednesday night at Spa,” Feeney added.
“I think it’s going to be great fun, I get to jump in the Boost Mobile Ford Mustang for the first time, so I’m really excited for that. It’s going to be great to mix it up with the best in Australian motorsport at one of the most iconic tracks in the world.”
Qualifying for the Supercars eSeries kicks off at 6:00pm AEST tomorrow, with racing from 7:00pm.
