Porsche eSports Supercup competitor Joshua Anderson has moved teams, announcing a return to the  Vendaval SimRacing squad which he left in late 2019.

There was little doubt that Anderson would eventually find a new home within iRacing; his success on the service has after all been admired by many. Anderson is one of four Australians competing in this year’s Porsche eSports Supercup where he currently sits 22nd in the standings (out of 40) following four rounds of action.

The PESC is an area where the team switch may prove critical for Anderson.

“My primary aim is to finish top-20 in PESC (to auto qualify for next season) – I’ve struggled a bit this year so I’ll be aiming to lift my form up in the next rounds,” Anderson said.

“Matti Kaidesoja reached out to me and asked if I’d be interested in returning – which I definitely was. I gel really well with all the guys in the team so I’m keen to be back at Vendaval for the long term.”

High level success is par for the course when it comes to Vendaval and Anderson has a proven track record for helping deliver in this department. A previous highlight for Anderson was the 2019 6 hours of the Glen, where he and the team claimed the top split victory. Special event success is certainly on the radar once again, with the Bathurst 1000 and Petit Le Mans marking the highest-profile events remaining in the 2020 iRacing calendar.

The young Aussie was also keen to give recognition and thanks to Vendaval’s sponsors, Simcube, Draw Once and Valco. Anderson’s first outing in Vendaval colours is not far out, with the next round in the 2020 PESC season taking place in a week’s time at Road Atlanta.

Anderson offers sim race coaching through his JWA Coaching service. For more information, please contact Josh via the JWA Discord Server.
